I have the identical instrument. Everything original, including tuning knobs & finish. The only negative is a fine crack down the middle of the front from the ornamental circle to beneath where the strings attach. The wood is tight & the crack does not seem to have affected the sound. The serial number is 20160. Can you give me an estimate of the value and the date of manufacture?

I have an almost identical instrument. Mine is from 1909 and has abalone inlays in the tuning knobs. She is a beauty.... I recently sent it to an instrument builder and he estimated the value to 3200 USD. In a perfect condition the value would have been 3800 USD.
